We totally love this book. For the reviewer it
brings back the best memories of street hockey growing up in the
Canada of my youth. Its about a girl too, though the reader does
not realize that until the end. This reviewer loves to encourage
girls to the game!
Also another book which teaches some hockey lore
to new players..as the children in the story worship Rocket Richard
of the Montreal Canadiens.
We rate this book 10/10 !!!

This book is a must for any young hockey player
to have in his library. Do not be put off! The alphabetic title
should not be taken as a sign that this is a pre-school book. On
the contrary this IS NOT a book for pre-schoolers. Some of the
alphabetic linkage is quite sophisticated.
Great book for intrducing kids to hockey lore. We
are great believers that part of enjoying a sport is understanding
its history!
Do you know who Lord Stanley was?

Another book we really enjoyed. Again it
introduces young hockey players to the history of their game. Set a
while back here the kids hero is Maurice "Rocket" Richard and the
Montreal Candiens.
What horror when the child in the story
accidentally gets his beloeved Montral Canadiens Jersey replaced
with a....horror ..horror ..a Toronto Maple Leafs
jersey.

Rating 8/10
