Mission and Goals

The Goalie Academy is committed to providing the best goaltending instruction and training program to all levels of goalies through quality drills and personal attention.

The Goalie Academy's goal is to achieve a reputation as North America's leader in goaltending instruction.

For the beginner and intermediate goalies, Goalie Academy want to instill a firm foundation of the fundamental skills required to excel at this unique position.

For the advanced goalie, we want to provide direction for understanding the more intricate details of goaltending and knowledge of the intangible skills necessary to be an effective goalie. Goalie Academy wants to assist goalies who are capable of playing at higher levels of hockey (prep school, junior, college and even professional) attain those high aspirations through coaching and guidance.

PROGRESSIVE HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT

Want more ice time? Why not try Synthetic Ice. PHD is a state of the art facility in Sterling, Virginia.

PHD includes a professional-grade synthetic ice rink with three hockey goals, a Boni puck machine and strength and conditioning programs with cardiovascular, weight and hockey-specific training equipment. Synthetic ice is no longer the "best kept training secret" as more NHL teams and competitive hockey players are realizing the significant training benefits associated with this surface. Specifically, training on synthetic ice provides power, speed and conditioning advantages that are not readily available on conventional ice.
